So you think Twitter is a time suck?

I only started using Twitter a couple months ago and initially thought of it as a waste of time because I didn’t have time to read about what so and so had for dinner or their favorite movie. I figured it was the next ‘big thing’ that would be gone tomorrow and Facebook already took up to much of my day.

Then I started seeing more folks on my tv & news channels using it so I signed up and started following people and clicking their follower’s profiles and realized that this was another way for me to find ‘like-minded’ folks of interest to me. I spent about a week researching Twitter and I’m now convinced that it’s not just a ‘fad’ and I can utilize social networking as a marketing tool to my advantage in a big way!

It’s not the newest thing, but there are many affiliate marketers that are not utilizing this tool yet so don’t get left behind. Start learning how to take advantage of Twitter as a moneymaking tool because it’s here to stay with millions of users and millions more to come.

Using Word 2007 to create blog posts

I discovered the most wonderful thing about Word 2007 the other day. You can use it to create blog posts! If you are a MS Word user that enjoy the common features it offers then you can appreciate the value of this feature after using a blog provider’s web-based editor.

I like to make my post look ‘pretty’ so by using the new Word Blog Post feature it’s the perfect tool to do so quickly with ease. I currently use Word to post to my
GamTrak Software blog that is on the wordpress domain because it was easy to setup. I now have to figure out how to use it for the blog on this domain.

Features:

You can automatically generate and upload graphics like charts and diagrams that you insert in your post and more.

Microsoft has confirmed they plan on using the Word rendering engine to display HTML emails in Outlook 2010.

This means for the next 5 years your email designs will need tables for layout, have no support for CSS like float and position, no background images and lots more.

Spammers and ‘get rich overnight’ folks are not going to gain very much from Twitter using their techniques. If they are honest they will tell you that they are not making money from their efforts.

You must be an active user that interact and give back in order to take advantage of this social network by contributing valuable and interesting content.

Have you found out enough about Twitter to utilize it to grow your business and increase your income? If not then you need to figure it out, otherwise you’re wasting your valuable time.

Does size matter with Twitter?

When it comes to the size of your Twitter followers is more necessarily better? I would say no because you can have 10,000 followers, but only a small number of them are of interest to you and even fewer of them are interested in what you have to say so what is the point? When it comes to your valuable marketing time and efforts you want a ‘targeted audience’.

When I found Twitter I did not see the rationale behind a system that would only allow 140 characters at a time. Today I think it’s the best thing since sliced bread because you can get a feel of the intentions of the person without having to read a ton of words and I like that concept.

From the beginning I made the decision to not go for the ‘get a million followers in a day’ gimmicks. That is of no use to me because I want targeted followers so that I can increase my knowledge of my niche and expose others to my soon-to-be released GamTrak Affiliate Program and GamTrak Software that may be of interest to them.

I don’t follow everyone that follows me and I block anyone that has links to porn sites automatically. I rarely click on the affiliate links that are sent via Direct Message or a ‘generic’ auto reply ‘thanking me’ for following them. Click here to follow me.
